Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is an Italian red wine produced in the Abruzzo region of east-central Italy from the Montepulciano wine grape. It is not to be confused with the Tuscan wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which is produced from Sangiovese and other grapes.
