Bodega Chacra "Sin Azufre" 2017

100% Pinot noir
A still red wine from the Patagonia region of Argentina.

Complex, sapid, balanced. Dark berries, cherries, underwood, leather, smoke, tar, star anise...

Tasting Notes

On the glass, Sin Azufre 2017 is purple to burgundy colour.

The nose is very complex with notes that go from dark berries and cherries to a more tertiary and intriguing profile. I find eucalyptus, underwood, leather, smoke, tar, liquorice, star anise…

The 2017 Sin Azufre from Bodega Chacra is medium body with firm tannins and a balanced acidity.

On the mouth the 2017 Sin Azufre from Bodega Chacra unfolds with notes of charcuterie and liquorice but also black plum, cranberry, hibiscus and clove.

It has an attractive sapidity.

The finish is long and elegant.

Pinot noir

Red wine grape variety

Pinot noir is a type of red wine grape that belongs to the Vitis vinifera genus. It’s also probable that the name refers to wines produced mainly from Pinot noir grapes. The name comes from the words “pine” and “black” in French. The name pine refers to the grape variety’s tightly clustered, pine cone-shaped fruit bunches.
